The controller for this website is FARO-METAL S.R.L., registered in Romania under CUI RO41285193 and Trade Register number J26/1350/2019, with its registered office at Ghindari no. 332/B, Mureș County, Romania.
Faro Metal is presented as the production division of the Carol Tech group. Enquiries sent to office@caroltech.ro may therefore be accessed by authorised Carol Tech group personnel who support Faro Metal's commercial and administrative work. They may use the information only for the purpose for which it was received and under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

2. What we process and why

3. Google Maps and social links
Google Maps
The embedded map is blocked by default. It contacts Google only after you press “Allow Google Maps” or “Allow and load map”. Google may then receive your IP address, browser information and page context, and may place or read cookies according to its own practices. You can withdraw that choice at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer; the embedded map will be removed immediately.
Facebook and Instagram
Social profiles are linked with ordinary external links; this site contains no Meta pixel, social plug-in or embedded feed. Faro Metal does not send information to Meta merely because you view this website. If you choose a social link, Meta receives information directly from your browser and its own privacy terms apply.
4. Who may receive information
- Authorised Faro Metal and Carol Tech group personnel who need the information to answer or perform the requested work.
- IT, email and infrastructure suppliers, only where needed and subject to appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
- Professional advisers, auditors or public authorities when required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or comply with law.
- Google or Meta only when you actively load their map or follow an external social link. These providers may process data outside the EEA under their stated transfer safeguards.
We do not sell personal data, use it for behavioural advertising, or make decisions about you solely by automated means.
5. How long information is kept
- An enquiry that does not lead to a business relationship: up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless needed longer for a dispute or legal claim.
- Quotation, contract and project records: for the relationship and then for the applicable Romanian limitation and legal record-keeping periods. Accounting and tax records are retained for the period required by law.
- The Google Maps privacy choice expires after six months, or sooner if you change it or clear browser storage. The language preference remains until you change it or clear browser storage.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to a supervisory authority.
To exercise a right, email office@caroltech.ro with “Data protection request — Faro Metal” in the subject. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity and will normally respond within one month.
In Romania, complaints may be submitted to the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
7. Security and updates
We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections, system updates and limited staff access appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet service is completely risk-free, so please avoid emailing unnecessary sensitive personal information.
We may update this notice when the website, suppliers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
